Camp Description

 

The Auburn Baseball High School Team Camp is designed for high school teams and their coaches and offers the opportunity to practice, compete, and participate in evaluation and instructional sessions with the Auburn coaches and possibly other college coaches.

Each team, weather permitting, will be scheduled to play four games during the camp. We will also have team instructional sessions on the main stadium field.

This is an excellent opportunity for high school teams and coaches to compete, practice, and learn together during the summer at one of the nation's top college baseball venues.

Camp Cost: $300 per player
*Each team is required to bring a minimum of 13 players
*There is a deposit (non-refundable) of $100 per player due to reserve your team's spot in the camp.

Each Player will receive:
Camp t-shirt

Equipment:
Players should bring plenty of baseball clothing to last for the duration of camp and all necessary baseball equipment: spikes, turfs, hat, bats, glove, catching gear (if applicable), etc.
Each team will be responsible for their own batting helmets for games.
Each team is responsible for their own uniforms for your assigned games.
Teams should provide your own balls for warm-ups and cage batting practice.
Auburn Baseball Camps will provide all game and practice balls.

Camp Check-in and Team Registration:
Each team will provide a primary contact to work directly with Scott Duval for the registration process. A team's spot in the camp is secured when the deposit is received by the Auburn baseball office. The deposit portion is $100 per player that will attend (ex. If 15 players are attending, your deposit will be $1,500). The remaining balance ($200 per player) will be due at check-in on June 13. The deposit portion is non-refundable unless a team cancels by May 1st.

Camp check-in will take place at your assigned dorm in the lobby from 1pm-2pm on Friday, June 13. At this time, coaches should have a check for any remaining balance as well as all required paperwork for all participating players not already turned in.

Transportation:
Each team is responsible for their own transportation while participating in the Team Camp. There will be games scheduled off campus at high school fields. You need to make plans to have appropriate transportation for your team to have you at scheduled location on time.

Any additional information that we need to convey as the camp draws closer will be passed on to you via the e-mail address that you supplied when you signed up for camp. Please make it a habit to check your e-mail daily, this will eliminate any confusion and or miscommunication. Camp Waiver Information

 

Each player's completed medical clearance, liability waiver, and insurance information must be mailed in or brought with you to camp. (Note, a copy of a current physical will be accepted as medical clearance. The physical must be dated within 1 year of the camp and must have a physician's signature).

The Medical Clearance" and "Parental Consent & Waiver are available on this website. All of this information will also be e-mailed from Scott Duval to each team's administrative contact.

Directions

 

Camp will primarily be conducted at Plainsman Park at Auburn University. We will also play games at local high school fields. Once these fields have been assigned and the dorm has been assigned, Scott Duval will e-mail all appropriate directions to each coach or administrative contact for each participating team.

Meals

 

Campers and coaches will be provided all necessary meals beginning with dinner of June 13 and concluding with breakfast on June 15.

Accommodations

 

All teams and coaches will be housed in the dorms on Auburn's campus. The dorm assignments will be sent to the coaches of each team once assigned. Coaches will be required to provide Scott Duval with a rooming list a week prior to the camp. Each room houses 2 players and connects to another 2 person room (suitemates). Beds are single beds. Dorm residents should bring sheets, blankets, pillow, towel, and other necessary overnight items.

Airport Pick-up / Drop-off Information

 

The nearest major airport is Atlanta which is located 100 miles from Auburn's campus. Shuttle service via Express 85 is available from the Atlanta Airport to the Hotel at Auburn University. The number for Express 85 is 334-887-8595.

Merchandise

 

We will have a camp store open for campers to purchase Auburn game hats, t-shirts, shorts, and other Under Armour gear.

Miscellaneous Information

 

The camp cost of $300 per camper covers the entire camp participation for that camper, housing, all necessary meals, and your camp t-shirt. There is also the optional opportunity to shop at the camp store and order pizza for an evening snack at the dorm following the last session of the day on Friday and Saturday. Pizzas are $10 for a large one topping pizza.
