Sean Lomas



Sean Lomas comes to us from Myrtle Beach, SC. Coach Lomas played his collegiate career from 1998-2001 for Marist College and the University of Maryland as their starting shortstop. The switch hitting shortstop finished his career with a .319 batting average and was voted the ACC's top fielding shortstop in 2000 and 2001. He is the owner of the Southeast Stars Baseball Academy and Organization based out of South Carolina. Lomas also has the Northeast Stars program as well based out of New Jersey. In 2012, Sean started the Beach Collegiate Baseball League in Myrtle Beach and is looking forward to its second year this upcoming summer with college players from all across the country. The born and raised New Yorker is an associate scout with the Kansas City Royals and was the head coach for the Royals Carolina Scout Team in the fall of 2012. Coach Lomas is married to the former Marcela Lomba of Mahopac, NY and they have two sons, Tyler, 6, and Jayden, 3.

John Ennis



John Ennis resides in Charlotte, NC with his wife Anna and sons Grady & Hayes. For 13 seasons John pitched professionally reaching the Major Leagues with the Braves, Tigers, and Phillies. Now that John has moved on from playing professionally his focus has turned to development. Currently John is involved in coaching teams, individual lessons, and team evaluation and consultation in the Charlotte area.

Jeff Schaefer


Regional Director

Jeff grew up in Patchogue, NY. He is a graduate of the University of Maryland where he was a First Team All ACC 2nd Baseman and Honorable Mention All-American. Jeff signed with the Baltimore Orioles in 1981 which was the beginning of a 14-year professional career. He is the only player in Charlotte baseball history to win championships with the Charlotte O's and the Charlotte Knights. He made his debut in the Major Leagues as a member of the Chicago White Sox in 1989. Jeff spent a total of five years in the majors spending the 1990-92 seasons with the Seattle Mariners and 1994 season as a part of the Oakland A's.
