2009 USAB Spring Training Clinic a success.

USA Baseball and the Town of Cary teamed together once again to bring the sport of baseball to the community's youth.
Hosted at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary for the second year in a row, the clinic featured instruction and tutorials from past and current USA Baseball National Team coaches, as well as local high school coaches. Also among those on-hand included former big leaguer Scott Pose (Marlins, Yankees, Royals).
Over 140 participants attended the second annual event and participated in training stations including hitting, fielding, throwing and base-running instruction. Participants also competed in Quickball, the revolutionary new agility sport that displays the fundamentals of baseball.
The clinic offered members of the community a chance to explore the two-year-old complex at Thomas Brooks Park, visit the USA Baseball Team Store and to see the field that the bronze medal-winning 2008 U.S. Olympic Baseball Team called home.
