Tigers Pick a Pair of Blue Dragons on the 2nd Day of MLB Draft
The Detroit Tigers must like something about Hutchinson Community College baseball players.
For the second-straight year, the Tigers selected a Blue Dragon in the Major League Amateur Draft. This year, the Tigers selected two former Blue Dragons on Day 2.
Former Dragon outfielder Andy Dirks was taken in the eighth round with the 253rd overall selection. Eight rounds later, HCC All-American Thad Weber was taken with the 493rd selection by Detroit.
History was made for the Blue Dragons with the 2008 MLB Draft. This marks the first time in Blue Dragon baseball history that three HCC players were selected in the same draft. On Thursday, former HCC pitcher Aaron Pribanic became the second-highest Blue Dragon in history when he was taken in the third round (98th overall pitch) by the Seattle Mariners.

HCC Camp FAQs
Q. What is your refund policy?
A. We do not offer refunds on canceled campers, just a future camp credit if you decide to cancel, but we do have what is called "Cancellation Protection".
We offer basic Cancellation Protection to allow participants some peace of mind in case plans change. This allows us to keep our prices low and provide the best service possible. Due at the time of registration, Cancellation Protection entitles you to a full refund of camp fees should you cancel your registration more than 14 days prior to the start of an overnight camp, and 7 days prior to the start of a day camp. If you cancel within 14 or 7 days of the start of your session, we will give you a camp credit for all money paid.
The credit is valid for three years from camp date at any of our camps, clinics or prospect events. Credit with insurance is transferable to family members or friends, and good toward a future camp.
